2.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Seam Fusing Belts<\/strong>\u00a0means fusing belt with joint. It is the most common fusing belts due to its lower cost. Three joint methods are provided as below:
Overlap Belt Joint:<\/strong>\u00a0Overlap joints are a simple and easy joint to use where having an even surface is not critical.\u00a0This is the most popular seam because it is strong inexpensive and easiest to produce. The disadvantage of the overlap seam is that it is not very smooth and in some applications the seam may mark the material being fused. In addition, because the overlap seam is more than double the thickness of the rest of the belt it is slightly stiffer and suffers from early flex fatigue and very often breaks.
Scarfed Belt Joint:<\/strong>\u00a0A scarf joint is similar the overlap but offer a smooth transition for the product to run offering no lip for products to catch on. This is the smoothest, strongest, most flexible seam available today. It resembles a 30 mm overlap seam but is much smoother and more flexible. There is\u00a0no almost double thickness, as the mating surfaces are carefully ground to a taper and securely welded.
Angled Belt Joint:<\/strong>\u00a0This seam is cut at a slight angle helping the belt to roll easily over the fusing machine rollers, reducing flex fatigue. The angle of the overlap can be varied, so that the splice does not run over the conveyor pulleys in 1 line. 45\u00b0 and 70\u00b0 are popular.

Overlap Belt Joint:<\/strong>\u00a0Overlap joints are a simple and easy joint to use where having an even surface is not critical.\u00a0This is the most popular seam because it is strong inexpensive and easiest to produce. The disadvantage of the overlap seam is that it is not very smooth and in some applications the seam may mark the material being fused. In addition, because the overlap seam is more than double the thickness of the rest of the belt it is slightly stiffer and suffers from early flex fatigue and very often breaks.
Scarfed Belt Joint:<\/strong>\u00a0A scarf joint is similar the overlap but offer a smooth transition for the product to run offering no lip for products to catch on. This is the smoothest, strongest, most flexible seam available today. It resembles a 30 mm overlap seam but is much smoother and more flexible. There is\u00a0no almost double thickness, as the mating surfaces are carefully ground to a taper and securely welded.

2.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Seam Fusing Belts<\/strong>\u00a0means fusing belt with joint. It is the most common fusing belts due to its lower cost. Three joint methods are provided as below:
Overlap Belt Joint:<\/strong>\u00a0Overlap joints are a simple and easy joint to use where having an even surface is not critical.\u00a0This is the most popular seam because it is strong inexpensive and easiest to produce. The disadvantage of the overlap seam is that it is not very smooth and in some applications the seam may mark the material being fused. In addition, because the overlap seam is more than double the thickness of the rest of the belt it is slightly stiffer and suffers from early flex fatigue and very often breaks.
Scarfed Belt Joint:<\/strong>\u00a0A scarf joint is similar the overlap but offer a smooth transition for the product to run offering no lip for products to catch on. This is the smoothest, strongest, most flexible seam available today. It resembles a 30 mm overlap seam but is much smoother and more flexible. There is\u00a0no almost double thickness, as the mating surfaces are carefully ground to a taper and securely welded.
Angled Belt Joint:<\/strong>\u00a0This seam is cut at a slight angle helping the belt to roll easily over the fusing machine rollers, reducing flex fatigue. The angle of the overlap can be varied, so that the splice does not run over the conveyor pulleys in 1 line. 45\u00b0 and 70\u00b0 are popular.

Precarga<\/h2>\n
Las cadenas de rodillos est\u00e1n dise\u00f1adas para soportar diversos tipos de carga. Los pi\u00f1ones son la principal causa del desgaste de la cadena. La desalineaci\u00f3n axial y angular se produce cuando las caras de los pi\u00f1ones no est\u00e1n correctamente alineadas. Ambos tipos de desalineaci\u00f3n aumentan la tensi\u00f3n y el desgaste de la cadena de rodillos, y pueden afectar negativamente a la transmisi\u00f3n. Por lo tanto, elegir la cadena adecuada es fundamental.
La precarga ayuda a eliminar el alargamiento inicial y a prolongar la vida \u00fatil. Los beneficios de la precarga se pueden apreciar en la tabla correspondiente. Se produce un alargamiento significativo durante el arranque con una precarga m\u00ednima o nula. Esto se debe a la dureza superficial de las piezas desgastadas. Por otro lado, una cadena con la precarga adecuada muestra poco alargamiento durante el arranque inicial. Por lo tanto, una precarga correcta puede prolongar la vida \u00fatil.
Si bien el alargamiento es un fen\u00f3meno natural en cualquier transmisi\u00f3n, se puede minimizar o eliminar con un mantenimiento adecuado. Adem\u00e1s de las inspecciones regulares, se recomienda realizar una inspecci\u00f3n completa de la cadena despu\u00e9s de las primeras cien horas de uso. Esta inspecci\u00f3n debe centrarse en factores clave para la vida \u00fatil de la cadena, como el alargamiento (3%), la lubricaci\u00f3n y cualquier otro problema que pueda afectarla. Una cadena de buena calidad deber\u00eda tener una vida \u00fatil prolongada y no presentar problemas.
Existen diversas especificaciones para las cadenas de rodillos. Una buena regla general es elegir cadenas con al menos 5 eslabones.
