The size of the drive chain should be selected according to the sprockets used. The large sprocket should have at least 25 teeth, and the small sprocket should have fewer teeth. The pitch of a drive chain is the contact angle between the chain and the sprocket. The smaller the sprocket, the smaller the contact angle of the 2 parts. Larger sprockets are better, but smaller sprockets must never have fewer teeth.
